Remove the retirement of senators who serve less than 30 years. ALL of government should have to serve like the people.

Created by W.H. on January 16, 2013

Why are do federal employees and elected officials; congress and the president, afforded a generous retirement from one term while the people have to work 30 years to barely get enough to scrape by...eliminate the retirement plan for congress and federal employees...they can join social security and no more 1 term full retirement. Senate retirement is based on service like all employees and follows social security rules except for elected officials, it is based on the median income of the district that represented x years of service. This should include the president, if it is good enough for the people then it is good enough for those who wrote. If social security is so great, then why does the federal government even offer a second one?
