This petition asks President Obama to remove Kimberly Davis, Clerk of Rowan County, Kentucky, from her position.
As of August 28, Ms. Davis has defied orders from the Governor of Kentucky, Steve Beshear, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and most recently the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, to issue same-sex couples marriage licenses. Ms. Davis is also refusing to issue marriage licenses to different-sex couples as well. Ms. Davis is now asking the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene.
We the People ask the President to remove Ms. Davis from her post as Rowan County Clerk for blatant discrimination under the guise of religious freedom and for violation of her oath of office.
