Pilots and other employees are trapped by there employee, due to a little known fact. They have seniority numbers that dictate who gets laid off first and what base pay scale they are in.
At first this sounds like a good thing, but what you don't know is it traps the employee. A pilot or flight attendant can never say I don't like how I am being treated or how a contract is, not unless they are willing to give up their pay and start over at a very low first year pay and loose all their benefits.
We should either get rid of them, or combine them so numbers are the same across all airlines, so that people are not trapped and essentially exploited by an employer.
