Remove "short barreled" rifles from the NFA (national firearms act and registry). An inch doesn't change a weapon.

Created by .N. on December 26, 2012

Babysitting owners of "short barreled rifles" or rifles with barrels under 16" by forcing them into a complex registration scheme, wastes millions in resources maintaining a worthless registry, but more importantly, wastes the time of federal ATF agents by making them babysit (with paperwork) owners of rifles JUST BECAUSE their rifle's barrel is an inch too short to be treated as normal. ATF should be finding all the weapons it allowed to be shipped to mexico, NOT babysitting paperwork for some guy's gun that has a barrel length under 16 inches.
