It has become apparent that so called "Gun Free Zones" are not safe areas. By making it illegal to carry a firearm into these areas, you are only preventing law abiding citizens from peacefully carrying their firearms.
Criminals, and people seeking to cause harm are already planning on disobeying the law, and have no issues what so ever ignoring these restrictions to carry out their plans.
By removing the restriction that is already ignored by criminals, we will allow peaceful citizens to legally carry their weapons into these areas and as such, defend themselves as necessary.
