Remove sound surpressors or silencers from the list of NFA items to protect the hearing of shooting sports enthusiasts.

Created by A.W. on July 09, 2013

To reduce noise pollution and complaints about gun ranges. As well as to protect the hearing of shooting sports enthusiasts and hunters. The truth about sound surpressors is that they do not eliminate the sound of gunfire as in the movies or tv but the lower the level of noise to a level that is safe to protect a shooters hearing. These devices are currently regulated as NFA items.
By removing them from NFA status and registration it will cut the costs of government spending to do the same background checks to buy a firearm but at the federal level. Removing them from NFA status will allow the ATF more time to review applications for automatic firearms as well as short barreled rifles and shotguns.
