The church tax exemption is unconstitutional, it violates the establishment clause because it is clearly the government "respecting an establishment of religion".
It's also unjust, the government gets to decide which organizations count as a church and give them an obvious advantage.
It costs us a bundle, a 1986 estimate showed religious income in that year of approx. $100 billion, or about five times the income of the five largest corporations in the U.S.All tax free.
