With the understanding that when the NFL was created In 1966, when the NFL agreed to merge with the rival American Football League (AFL), effective 1970; it was necessary, for the merger to succeed, that the new NFL corporation be afforded nonprofit 501(c)(6) status.
In the year 2014 the NFL is a very lucrative, profitable corporation with profits in the billions of dollars; all built on the backs of the American Taxpayer!
WE THE PEOPLE signing this petition, ask the President of the U.S,, and the IRS, to re-examine the non-profit status of the National Football League (NFL) and realign its tax status to more realistically conform with that of The People, since the Supreme Court has designated that corporations are people.
