The United States Federal Communications Commission is currently chaired by Tom Wheeler, a former lobbyist for cable companies.
Since the FCC is meant to help consumers, and not large multibillion-dollar telcos/cable companies, it would be right to have a civilian with no ties to cable companies that would protect rights of the citizen, such as access to the internet, without loosing net-neutrailty, as defined by Wikipedia, not by Open Internet rules proposed by the FCC.
It would be in the Public's best interest to remove Mr. Wheeler from the FCC chairmen position and place an unbiased civilian in charge of the FCC.
