Remove the Telecommunications Lobbyist Tom Wheeler from office as head of the FCC.

Created by T.R. on June 02, 2014

President Obama has decried the outsized power of special interests over 200 times since taking office. In his 2012 State of the Union Address, the President called for an economy in which "everyone plays by the same set of rules."

In 2013, the Obama Administration nominated Tom Wheeler for Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. He was confirmed by the Senate. Tom Wheeler is a lobbyist for the cable and wireless industry. He has headed both the NCTA and the CTIA. He has represented telecom giants like Comcast and Verizon and is now in charge of their regulation.

Since taking over the FCC, it has focused entirely on destroying Net Neutrality to bolster the profits of these telecom monopolies. It is a disgrace to the administration that such open hypocrisy should take place.
