In regards to secession, Tennessee surpassed its signature requirement, meaning it awaits an official response from the White House. Governor Bill Haslam apparently thinks this is a joke, as do many ignorant Americans and stated in response to the Tennessee petition, "I don't think that's a valid option for Tennessee. I don't think we'll be seceding." Bill Haslam does not represent the majority of the people in this state. As it is obviously apparent that not only do a fair amount of Tennesseeans wish to secede from the Union, so also do citizens from all 50 states. Therefore, in the subject of secession, should Tennessee be granted it, he is MORE than welcome to stay, but he does NOT have the right to dictate the lives of other Tennesseeans.
