Many of our citizens believe that the state of Texas has been a plague on this great nation for some time. It has hindered the growth of intellect, technology, and social justice that this country can benefit from. Because it has stunted our growth in this manner, we, the people of states outside of Texas, believe it is in the best interest of our states and our nation to remove Texas from the Union and improve our quality of life. All who sign this petition agree that this nation would be better off without Texas.
