Remove tip pool wages from servers/waiters. Restaurants should not be taking their employees money.

Created by E.D. on December 22, 2015

Servers/waiters work hard for their money. We already know that waiting tables is not a skillful job, but we work hard for what we make. However, at the end of the day, waiters have to pay tip pool, which is a certain percentage of the sales made by the server that they have to pay back to the restaurant regardless of what they make. Tip pool can be anywhere from 3-7 percent. Restaurants already get away with paying servers $2.13 an hour, why should they be allowed to take a servers tips? A server can make $100 but if their sales are $1000 for that night, and their tip pool is 3.5%, that server has to give the restaurant $35, and go home with $65. We are selling their food, up selling their food, and treating their guests, why should we give them our money? Theft is real. Please no more.
