These useless trade sanctions are relics from a period of Communist phobia in American domestic and foreign policy. The Republic of Cuba poses no threat to American security and any thoughts otherwise should fall into the respective category and subcategory of racism and xenophobia. We, the signees, demand that President Obama make a move to reopen trade with our friendly Caribbean neighbors for the betterment of the U.S. and Cuban economies.
