The president and government have taken a very open stance regarding the use of the team name "Redskins." The Terms "Fighting Irish" and "Fightin Irish" are disparaging, derogatory, prejudice and hurtful to people of Irish decent. They imply that the Irish are violent and hurtful. It is time we stop the University from profiting from these clearly racist terms.
