if Turkey is unwilling to stop their support for ISIL, a designated terrorist organization that has already killed several Americans, they should be booted from NATO immediately.
The critical role filled by Turkey in NATO could be easily replaced by an independent Kurdistan, a partner more wiling to host Patriot missile batteries and more willing to cooperate with the United States in efforts to stem terrorism.
