59 years ago, "Under God" was added to the Pledge of Allegiance. Over the years, it has caused much controversy; forcing a certain religion, a single God, etc.
The First Amendment allows the right to follow any religion freely, therefore the clause breaks the First Amendment by pushing religion with a single God as the religion of the U.S.
A 2012 study from the Pew Research Center states 20% of Americans bear no religion, up from 3% in 1958. 1/3rd of adults under 30 said they did not follow any religion.
We are requesting that the Pledge of Allegiance is modified to remove the "Under God" clause for any U.S. citizen to recite the Pledge comfortably, to allow freedom of religion more so, and to promote the country as a supporter of any and all religions.
