The "under god" portion of the United States pledge of allegiance is in clear violation of church being separate from state. Not only is it violating that political rule it is also offending a vast group of people. The term god is used most commonly used in Christianity. Other religions such as Islam use the term Alla for god and a religion such as Hinduism has specific names for each god. These signs are obvious signs that the term god is referring to the Christian god which every American does not follow. Thus when a person recites the pledge they either must leave that section out and not be able to say the entire pledge of allegiance or say something that they do not agree with. Also referring to the Christian god reveals that there must be a Christian bias in the government.
