Due to the overwhelming amount of attention created by the history surrounding the Army of Northern Virginia's (ANV) Confederate Battle Flag, in addition to the request to remove the Harvard Seal, shouldn't it be fair that the United States cease to exist because its founders owned slaves? The Founding Fathers had plantations. The Confederate States fought for the preservation of slavery. Let us terminate the government initiated by slave owners.
History stays with us through time. The Confederate States fought for slavery, yes, but they also fought for States' Rights. The Federal government was imposing on their rights, they felt. So they fought. The ANV battle flag was created to prevent friendly fire after the battle of Bull Run.
