We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Remove "United" from "The United States of America".

Created by J.P. on November 09, 2016

With the Election of 2016 ending, you cannot tell me that this country is not at its most decisive. People hate someone else, not because of evidence that their personality and ideas and yours don't mix, but rather because they voted "Clinton" when you voted "Trump" and nothing else.

It is genuinely insulting and ironic to retain the name "United States" while allowing such an insulting election year to take place.

As such I feel that until things smooth out or until we remember the words unity, equality, and respect, that we should not allow the most fundamental aspect of our nation, it's name, jokingly be left as a symbol of combining opinions and races and creeds and yet still have the vote be summed up with "Pick the least worst" and disregard all others that don't think like you.
