Remove unnecessary foreign military bases and relocate soldiers to areas where they are needed the most.

Created by D.K. on April 29, 2013

There are too many United States military bases across the world. We have bases in well-established country's like the UK, France, Germany, etc. Are these bases really necessary? Taxpayer dollars could be saved if these bases were closed and the personnel there relocated to areas in the Middle East or South Korea. These areas are much more volatile and prone to needing our assistance. Soldiers that aren't relocated should still receive their benefits for the amount of time their deployment was going to last. This plan benefits both the soldiers, foreign countries, and the taxpayer dollars which have been in short supply as of late. The extra money can be used for more military technologies or for investments in other areas like Social Security or NASA or reducing the deficit.
