Remove the US penny from circulation

The US penny costs more to produce than it's worth. Each penny costs nearly 2 cents to manufacture. Purchasing costs are almost always rounded to the nearest 5 cents anyhow, and pennies are seldom needed today as it is. Prices and the like may be rounded to the nearest multiple of 5, as appropriate as the vendor may determine. Any pennies had by the people can be sent in via postal services. These pennies can be melted down and separated into valuable materials for other uses. Because no other pennies would need to be produced, there would no longer be a need for any production facilities to exist, and the areas may be re-purposed for the production of anything else needed or desired by the areas around them.
