We The People was started as a sound initiative that allowed the citizenry to petition the White House and the Obama Administration on issues that carry the day (and sometimes don't). However, with the recent secession tactics by certain individuals and also frivolous petitions being presented (such as firing the Auburn head football coach) it is no longer feasible for the White House to take the chance that one of the aforementioned petitions will reach the 25,000 signature minimum to demand an official White House response; there are simply much better uses of time and money from our federal government than this. Therefore, we the signed petition the White House to close this petition site.
