The original version of the Pledge of allegiance was accepted into congress in 1942 and made in 1892.
The addition of "Under God" was not added to the pledge of allegiance until 1959 by Louis A. Bowman an attorney from Illinois, He was the first person to say "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance on live radio at which point the Catholic Church accepted it and endorsed it eventually making it normal.
Defended under the first amendment in the constitutional bill of rights this makes this highly against the proper way of the american people, RELIGIOUS OR NOT!
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble.
