Remove the words " One nation under God " from the pledge of allegiance.

Created by E.F. on February 11, 2012

I believe that we need to remove the words " one nation under God " from the Pledge of Allegiance and go back to using the 1924-1954 version of the Pledge of Allegiance which is:
" I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands; one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all."

I think, with the religious neutrality of the U.S. government, we should not have any reference to a deity or religion in i.e. our motto's, our pledges, or anything else. This gives the idea that our government favors the christian religion, even though our government claims to be neutral in religion. Many people may possibly find this reference to the christian God offensive, therefore I think it needs to be removed.
