Since 1934 under Franklin D. Roosevelt there have been numerous attacks on the founding fathers intentions with regard to the second amendment (1934, 1938, 1968, 1972, 1986, 1990, 1994, 1998, 1999 etc.). In the 1800's and prior to 1934 citizens access to firearms was intact as the founding fathers saw fit. After prohibition (created by the government), the Federal government saw fit to limit ordinary citizens from firearm ownership and this trend has only picked up speed. Change the wording of the second amend and REMOVE "A well regulated militia," because we know now that tyranny can operate so long as strict regulations are permitted.
