Rename the 10 Army bases named after Confederate officers. Honor our Iraq and Afghanistan heroes instead.

Created by J.H. on June 24, 2015

There are currently 10 US Army installations named for Confederate officers who actively fought the US Army in the Civil War. This is no less insulting than displaying the Confederate battle flag and we have so many heroes who are far more deserving of recognition. With 16 Medal of Honor recipients from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and 6,692 fallen heroes (as of 6/24/15) the DOD has plenty of suitable replacement names.
