By Executive Order, direct the Secretary of Defense to rename all ten U.S. military installations currently named in honor of Confederate officers who fought against the United States of America in the Civil War. The honoring of Confederate generals who led forces in armed rebellion against the U.S. Army, resulting in heavy loss of life and having as its purpose the right of states to maintain and perpetuate slavery, should be proscribed. Instead, these ten Army installations should be renamed to honor illustrious U.S. military heroes who fought in defense of freedom.
