This petition is to request the renaming of all United States military bases and installations which are named after Civil War Confederate statesmen and military personnel.
It is inconceivable that we have military bases and installations today named after persons who espoused slavery, committed acts of treason against the United States, destroyed American towns and cities, and caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of American citizens and military personnel.
It is now time to rectify this grevious mistake and rename our military bases and installation so our citizens and military personnel do not have to be reminded of these traitors and the evil policies they wanted to perpetrate. It is time to assign their names to history.
