Rename Columbus Day to "Peter Francisco Day" Via Executive Order.

Created by B.H. on November 29, 2012

The undersigned:

1. Propose keeping the 2nd Monday of October a holiday.
2. Propose renaming the holiday "Peter Francisco Day."

Why?
1. Columbus had a flair for slave trading and wiping out innocent populations. Everyone knows this.
2. Francisco was one of the most famous soldiers of the American Revolution, mostly for slaying a large number of British troops, also for his Bunyanesque strength. Few people know about him today.
3. Columbus never set foot on US soil, Francisco bled across large portions of it.

George Washington on Peter Francisco: "Without him, we would have lost two crucial battles, perhaps the war, and with it our freedom. He was truly a one-man army."

If we're to have a holiday for someone who killed a ton of people, why not Peter Francisco?
