The name of Mount McKinley in Alaska should be changed to Mount Denali or simply Denali as it is called by the native peoples that live near it.
The name change would honor and respect Alaska's indigenous people.
The name Denali is used by the Alaska state government and commonly by its citizens.
(President William McKinley has never even seen this mountain and there is no good reason for it to be named for him.)
The United States Park Service has named the surrounding area Denali National Park and Preserve.
Finish what should have been done long ago and rename the mountain Denali.
