Rename Ohio's Youngstown Air Reserve Station in honor of the late John Glenn

Created by N.L. on December 09, 2016

John Glenn, the late Marine aviator, astronaut, and Ohio senator, should be dutifully honored by the renaming of Youngstown Air Reserve Station in his memory. The airbase, located in northeast Ohio, is home to the 910th Airlift Wing. The 910th employs eight C-130H aircraft in its mission to "Deploy, Deliver, Defend" and is the Department of Defense's only large area fixed-wing aerial spray capability to control disease-carrying insects, undesirable vegetation, and to disperse oil spills in large bodies of water. The installation employs over two thousand Active Duty, Reserve (Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps), civilian, and contract employees. It is the third largest employer in the area.
