Rascism and sexism still exist today. Cops shoot African Americans without punishment, while they unfairly arrest them more. In fact, one half of prisoners in America are African American. Economic inequality also affects us. A black man makes 75 cents for every dollar a man makes, and a women makes 78. Is this equality, or is this discrimination? Is this what Marian Luther meant when he said "I have a dream"? The only way for us to win is to reverse the legacy of the men who started it all: the founding fathers. We feminists and black rights activists ask for regognition about the legacy of racism and sexism left by many of our founding fathers. The city of Washington and all structures named after him must be renamed, in order to acknoledge the inequality he created.
