The United States is growing increasingly like Oceania from 1984 by George Orwell. Here's a checklist of requirements:
1. Perpetual state of war .... check
2. Big Brother is watching us (NSA) .... check
3. Living conditions are terrible .... not quite yet. There are places like Detroit that are falling apart at the seams. But why not go all the way to the point of total destitution?
I propose that we name this country what it is gradually becoming so that all the people of the world can understand how truly "utopian" we are.
