Commodity manufacturing and competition is increasingly fierce year after year from globalization, communist command economies, cheap labor, and unfair trade. China has the ability to devalue its currency, pay very low wages, and subsidize their manufacturing sector which puts Americans out of jobs and out of business. The American Iron and Steel requirements act not only helps protect drinking water by using quality American materials instead of overseas, but creates and helps American business and jobs in many markets that use steel. We ask that present and future presidents not only continue to renew and resign this important public law, but to expand on it and further protect the American steel & plumbing industry jobs and businesses from unfair trade practices, and Globalization.
