In light of the recent shooting in Newtown Connecticut, we ask the Obama Administration to please work to have the ban on ALL assault rifles renewed. There is no place on our streets for these weapons outside of the hands of Law Enforcement and/or Military Personel. Continuing to allow these kinds of weapons to be carried by civilians is dangerous as witnessed by this most recent tragedy.
The Second Amendment to The Constitution of The United States, reads as follows : "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
While it is important for the Citizens of this country to feel safe, we fail to see how an assault rifle carries out this task in a superior way than traditional handguns.
