Renew the Commerce Department's contract with ICANN or place the internet domain contract with another US based company.

Created by W.H. on April 21, 2014

The Commerce Department has recently announced it's decision to relinquish control of the internet domain system, and give control to the international community. This would give the control of freedom of speech and other civil liberties to other nations around the world and lead to the very real possibility of nations opposed to our freedoms, such as Russia and China, having more control and influence over American freedom of speech. Americans For America Political Action Committee moves to make sure that the Commerce Department keeps the domain contract with the current provider, ICANN, or another US based company or give control to the Department of Defense.
