Why do we continue to celebrate Columbus in this country? He is the
equivalent to the US's version of "Hitler", yet there is
still a federal holiday named after him.
This "celebration" of a man who was lost on his voyage and stumbled
across this land; who murdered the people that were on these lands before any
other; and started the genocide of the Native Americans NEEDS TO STOP.
