According to an article published in the Washington Times, we spend about 8 billion dollars a year on the maintenance of up to 77,000 vacant properties owned by our U S. government. These vacant properties represent mismanagement of the assets of every American, while the national debt owed by every American continues to climb. We demand expedited sale and or rental of these wasteful properties to reduce the financial burden placed on our annual budget and in return generate positive revenues.
Mr. President, you promised "common sense solutions" during your 2013 State of the Union address. Our nation's financial problems are quite significant, but every positive journey is advanced with a simple step forward and now is the time to "walk the walk".
