Reopening closed mental health institutions will help relieve overcrowding in penal institutions, create numerous new jobs, and keep mentally ill individuals from acquiring weapons to use against the innocent public.In addition, mentally ill individuals will recieve the medications they need, and individuals with mental illness who are homeless will be able to recieve the care and medications they need, as well as being in a safe environment.
