Reopen the nuclear waste storage facility in the Yucca Mountains in Nevada.

Created by J.G. on May 21, 2014

The Yucca mountain waste site was for nuclear material and was the only long-term nuclear waste storage in the United States. Without this nuclear waste storage facility, the nuclear waste that needs to be kept in storage for a long period of time will then be kept in another area that may not be as safe to contain the nuclear waste. It should also be noted that nuclear waste is very hazardous and if it is not stored properly it can pose a threat. For example, the radiation from the nuclear waste can cause cancer to anyone that goes near nuclear waste.
