We, the tax paying citizens of the United States of America, demand you reopen the White House for public tours. Annually thousands of people travel to Washington D.C. for the educational experiences the district offers. Touring the White House remains a highlight of the D.C experience.
Closing the tours as part the sequester does little to impact the budget issue facing this country. Nor does it move us any closer to a resolution between the Republicans and Democrats. However, a closed White House does send a message that when politicians cannot solve the problems they were elected to solve, the people (especially children) pay the price. A closed White House is the wrong price to pay.
