Reopen the White House to visitors, especially for children touring OUR NATION'S capital.

Created by C.B. on March 07, 2013

Instead of barring eighth graders and other children and visitors from touring their White House during spring break, cut wasteful government spending. Senator Coburn has outlined billions of dollars in wasteful spending in 2012 alone, including, but not limited to:

• $27 million for Moroccan pottery classes;

• $300K to promote caviar consumption and production;

• $505K to promote specialty shampoo and other beauty products for cats and dogs;

• $1.3 million in corporate welfare for the world’s largest snack food producer, PepsiCo Inc.;

• USDA wine tasting events in Oregon and similar venues in 2013;

• $516K for “Prom Week,” a video game that allows taxpayers to relive prom night.

Cut all of these programs and more to help educate children about our historical buildings.
