You have asked us to fight and we do so under our own free will. We have no regrets and we would do it again....
But we are tired, we are battle worn, distressed. We are homeless, we are hungry. We kill ourselves in record numbers. We die slowly while we wait in long lines, some of us wait months even years to be seen only to be disregarded as a mere nuisance by the very administration whose sole purpose is to help us.
We are calling for a reorganization of the Veterans Administration much like the Veterans Administration Act of 1988, only this time...we would like it to actually work.
