Representative Jose Serrano (NY) introduced H.R. 406 to give immigration judges the authority to decline a deportation request if the individual being deported has a U.S. citizen child, and the judge determines that the deportation would be against the child's best interest.
This would have helped my Fiance from being deported leaving his 2 sons 12 & 10 yrs old behind, along with me and his siblings and other family. After spending 10 mo's on ICE hold and paying 10,000 in lawyer fee's only to still be deported is unreasonable. He was a 23 yr Green Card Holder which was taken away. Immigration did punish 1 man the punished ALL his family for life.
Where is the justice now?
