We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Repay the $2.7 Trillion that Congress has "borrowed" from Social Security over the past 46 years.

Created by G.S. on November 10, 2016

In 1980, Ronald Reagan and his Congress used money from the Social Security funds for non-Social Security purposes, calling it a "temporary reallocation" of those funds. Since then, Congress has "borrowed" $2.7 Trillion from Social Security and has made no effort to ever pay it back. *THAT* is why Social Security faces solvency problems and it's time those loans were repaid.
