Our forefathers always intended that the electoral college exist solely for the purpose of keeping an unqualified and/or despotic leader from becoming president. Donald Trump is both of those and yet the electoral college seems on track to elect him. It is a failed policy that needs to be repealed. The idea that all votes count equally is a cornerstone of our nation, however the electoral college gives more power to the votes coming from different states. That's tyranny.
