Repeal the 16th amendment of the constitution and replace it with one that puts a limit of income tax taken of only 20%

Created by M.R. on October 04, 2012

Amendment XVI (1913)

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

In 1895 the Supreme Court had declared a federal income tax law unconstitutional. It should still be unconstitutional to take money from hard earned income and "redistribute the wealth". Or at least it should be limited so that the government cannot take all income and distribute it as they see fit.

This amendment was poorly written and should be repealed or replaced.
