Repeal the 17th amendment To the Constitution of United States

Before the 17th amendment to the Constitution United States. The state Senate would choose a representative to send to the federal Senate This ensured that there was representation for states rights in our federal government. With both houses being voted on by the people There is no one to represent the state as a whole. The House of Representatives was supposed to speak for the rights of individual citizens. The Senate was supposed to speak for the rights of the states. We are missing that element now. The states are sovereign and need representation in our union
