Repeal the 17th Amendment to the US Constitution

Created by T.B. on December 25, 2012

It is an undeniable fact that our founding fathers recognized the danger posed by a runaway federal government. The check they built into the Constitution to prevent this from happening, and in doing so ensure that the federal government always remained subservient to the people, was a US Senate elected by US State legislatures. The 17th Amendment stabbed the US Constitution in the heart in this regard and opened the door to uncontrolled Federal government growth and intrusion into the lives of all US citizens. We ask that the President immediately begin the process of repealing the 17th amendment, using all available means at his disposal to accomplish this critical objective, and in doing so restore the balanced and restrained government envisioned by those who founded this great nation.
